A Float position gives you the opportunity to cross train to Med Surg, ICU, Emergency Departments, and OB. Float offers an opportunity to learn a broader skill set and enhance your skills by working in these departments. There also is a pay incentive for working Float.

Nurse Technicians act as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients. Cleans patient’s environment / work area / equipment and communicates any equipment malfunctions to appropriate department / unit personnel. Demonstrates a high standard of moral and ethical behavior. Advocates for privacy, confidentiality and security of patient, staff and organization data.
