Job summary

Health First in Melbourne, FL seeks a Nurse Tech to assist licensed personnel under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role supports direct patient care and contributes to a compassionate, efficient healthcare team.

Responsibilities include collecting patient information, performing routine care, responding to call lights, maintaining safety standards, and communicating with the care team. Per Diem schedule; shift times 7:00am–7:00pm; BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an RN or LPN program with hands-on clinical coursework completed.
• Ability to speak and understand verbal and written instructions in English.
• Ability to focus and prioritize multiple activities.

Responsibilities

• Collects, records, and reports accurate patient information.
• Performs routine procedures and delivers basic care as directed by the RN.
• Provides service to patients and families with sensitivity and respect for their needs.
• Responds to call lights and completes assigned tasks promptly.
• Adheres to department service standards to enhance patient communication.
• Communicates effectively with health care team to support patient experience.
• Contributes to positive patient experience scores and compliments.
• Accesses rooms with IV solutions and supplies as needed for patient care.
• Adheres to safety goals (e.g., 2 identifiers) when handling patient information.
