Job summary

Health First in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff by delivering basic patient care, assisting licensed personnel, and ensuring safety and comfort. This role requires empathy, reliability, and adherence to clinical protocols.

The CNA will coordinate care, document patient information, and participate in shift handoffs. Part-time schedule with evening/night shifts and potential for additional hours. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Certified Nursing Assistant Course and scheduled to take the Florida State exam.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Completion Card required prior to start date.
• Proficient in computer software applications (e.g., MS Office, EMR).

Responsibilities

• Delivers basic care to patients as directed in a clean and safe environment, completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Communicates effectively with other members of the health care team and promotes effective team functioning.
• Accesses IV solutions and authorized medications and supplies as needed for patient care responsibilities.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment; uses and cares for equipment and supplies economically.
• Collects, records, and reports accurate patient information.
• Competently performs routine procedures and assists other associates to maintain productivity.
• Provides service to patients and families with sensitivity and respect for their needs, expectations, age, cultural and individual differences.
