You will work under supervision of unit nurses and healthcare professionals, supporting activities of daily living and patient safety while adhering to hospital policies. Requires MO CNA certification and BLS, with preferred MS/ed experience.

Qualifications

• Must complete accredited CNA program and maintain Missouri CNA certification.
• Maintain BLS certification.
• Experience in Medical/Surgical or similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of the unit nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
• Take vital signs, monitor intake/output and record patient information accurately.
• Assist with mobility and positioning to prevent pressure ulcers and promote comfort.
• Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to the nursing team promptly.
• Assist with patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Maintain a clean and organized patient environment to ensure safety and infection control.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to meet patient care goals.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory policies.
