Job summary

Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center, part of LifeBridge Health, seeks a Nurse Technician to support patients with complex behavioral and medical needs in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team. You will deliver direct patient care, assist with ADLs, perform IV starts, Foley care, phlebotomy, and monitor vital signs under RN guidance.

Ideal candidates hold a Maryland CNA license, BLS certification, and 1–3 years of patient care experience, with a commitment to safety and quality care.

Qualifications

  • Current Maryland CNA license (CNA II)
  • BLS certification (AHA required)
  • 1-3 years of patient care experience preferred
  • Basic computer and documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including ADLs and documentation
  • Perform IV placement as directed by licensed staff
  • Perform Foley catheter insertion, maintenance, and care
  • Conduct and monitor EKGs, report abnormal findings promptly
  • Perform phlebotomy for lab specimen collection
  • Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient status
  • Observe and report changes in patient condition to the care team
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment
  • Support admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

As a Nurse Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with complex behavioral and medical needs while working alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including total assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and accurate documentation
  • Perform IV placement as directed by licensed nursing staff
  • Perform Foley catheter insertion, maintenance, and care
  • Conduct and monitor EKGs, reporting abnormal findings promptly
  • Perform phlebotomy for lab specimen collection
  • Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient status

Pay Range: $20.00 to $25 Based On Experience
