Job summary

Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center, part of LifeBridge Health in Baltimore, seeks a CNA I to provide compassionate long-term care in a resident-centered setting. You'll assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, and support residents' daily and emotional needs in a home-like environment.

Qualifications include Maryland CNA I, BLS, and a high school diploma or equivalent; prior LTC or rehab experience is preferred. Competitive benefits support wellness, retirement, and education opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Experience in healthcare and long-term care preferred.
  • Current Maryland CNA I certification required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility.
  • Obtain and record vital signs, weights, intake and output, and other observations.
  • Observe residents for changes in condition and report concerns promptly.
  • Assist with transfers, ambulation, positioning, and restorative care activities.
  • Use proper body mechanics and patient handling equipment, including Hoyer lifts.
  • Promote dignity, independence, and quality of life through compassionate care.
  • Build relationships with residents and learn individual preferences and routines.
  • Support residents' emotional, social, cultural, and spiritual well-being.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized environment for residents and visitors.
  • Assist with meal service and encourage resident participation and choice.
  • Follow infection prevention, safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Document care and observations accurately and timely.
  • Participate in resident-centered care planning and team communication.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures.

Job description

Experience nursing in a long-term care setting designed to feel like home. The Households at Levindale is an innovative, resident-centered community featuring six intimate households with just 14 private rooms each, allowing nurses to build meaningful relationships while providing personalized, compassionate care. Two households specialize in dementia care, and one is dedicated to serving the Orthodox Jewish community.

Residents enjoy home-cooked meals prepared by an onsite chef, comfortable living spaces, cozy gathering areas, beautiful outdoor courtyards, and engaging daily activities that promote dignity, independence, and quality of life. Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility.

  • Adhere to all regulatory, organizational, and departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience
  • Less than one year of healthcare experience required.
  • Previous long-term care, rehabilitation, or healthcare experience preferred.
Licensure & Certifications
  • Current Maryland Certified Nursing Assistant I (CNA I) certification required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.

Pay Range: $20.00 to $20.00
