Job summary

Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center, part of LifeBridge Health, seeks a Nurse Technician to support patients with complex behavioral and medical needs. You will perform direct ADL care, IV starts, catheter care, EKG monitoring, and phlebotomy under RN guidance, in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland CNA license (CNA II) is required.
• BLS certification (AHA) is required.
• 1-3 years of patient care experience preferred.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including total ADL assistance and accurate documentation.
• Perform IV placement as directed by licensed nursing staff.
• Perform Foley catheter insertion, maintenance, and care.
• Conduct and monitor EKGs, reporting abnormal findings promptly.
• Perform phlebotomy for lab specimen collection.
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient status.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the care team.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Support admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
