Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Nursing with OR experience within the last two years.
  • Two years recent circulating experience in outpatient surgery center.
  • BSN and scrubbing/circulating experience on hire.
  • Registered Nurse in California on hire.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR on hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support on hire.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the nursing process for planning and delivering direct and indirect patient care.
  • Multi-task, organizes, and prioritizes patient care to achieve goals.
  • Performs case preparation and intra-operative case execution.
  • Anticipates case needs to improve team efficiency and reduce delays.
  • Documents on unit and patient records timely and accurately.
  • Initiates repairs and follows up on missing equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilizes the nursing process for the planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care
  • Multi-tasks, organizes, and prioritizes patient care utilizing an efficient, concise and goal outcome process
  • Performs case preparation and intra-operative case execution for department needs
  • Anticipates preparation of cases and needs to enhance the efficiency of the team effort, i.e. punctual case start times, accurate and timely preparation of cases (instruments, supplies and equipment) and eliminates predictable case delays
  • Performs documentation on unit and patient records that is timely, accurate and concise
  • Initiates and investigates needed repairs, missing equipment, supplies and other pertinent areas and follows through to ensure resolution
Job Requirements
Required
  • Associates Other Nursing and One year OR and/or CSOR experience within the last two years in acute care hospital , upon hire or
  • 2 years recent circulating experience in outpatient surgery center. and
  • If it can be supported operationally, training may be offered to applicants having 2 years recent acute care experience in Critical Care/ER. and
  • Bachelors Of Science Nursing and Scrubbing and circulating experience, upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire
Preferred
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room, upon hire
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course, upon hire
