Job summary

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will perform assessments, implement care plans, and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to improve outcomes.

The role emphasizes critical thinking, urgency, and excellence in a fast-paced hospital setting. The position requires OR/CSOR experience, BSN and active certifications (BLS/CPR and ACLS).

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
  • 1 year OR and/or CSOR experience within the last two years in acute care hospital.
  • If operationally possible, training may be offered to applicants with 2 years recent acute care experience in Critical Care/ER.
  • BSN and scrubbing/circulating experience, upon hire.
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the nursing process for planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care.
  • Multi-tasks, organizes, and prioritizes patient care with an efficient, concise, goal-oriented process.
  • Performs case preparation and intra-operative case execution for department needs.
  • Anticipates case preparation and needs to enhance team efficiency and punctuality.
  • Performs documentation on unit and patient records accurately and concisely.
  • Initiates and investigates repairs, missing equipment, supplies and other pertinent areas and follows through to resolution.

  • Utilizes the nursing process for the planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care

  • Performs case preparation and intra-operative case execution for department needs
  • Anticipates preparation of cases and needs to enhance the efficiency of the team effort, i.e. punctual case start times, accurate and timely preparation of cases (instruments, supplies and equipment) and eliminates predictable case delays
  • Performs documentation on unit and patient records that is timely, accurate and concise
  • Initiates and investigates needed repairs, missing equipment, supplies and other pertinent areas and follows through to ensure resolution
Job Requirements
  • Associates Other Nursing and One year OR and/or CSOR experience within the last two years in acute care hospital , upon hire or
  • 2 years recent circulating experience in outpatient surgery center. and
  • If it can be supported operationally, training may be offered to applicants having 2 years recent acute care experience in Critical Care/ER. and
  • Bachelors Of Science Nursing and Scrubbing and circulating experience, upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire
Preferred
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room, upon hire
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course, upon hire

$54.43 - $73.98 /hour
