Job summary

Patient First is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to oversee patient care from registration to discharge and to supervise clinical staff. The role includes scheduling Staff Nurses and Medical Assistants, managing medication inventory, and acting as a center representative in the absence of senior medical staff.

MD nursing license required with at least 1 year of supervisory experience and strong verbal/written communication skills. Competitive benefits and on-site care services accompany the position.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Keyboarding experience required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• One year of clerical experience preferred
• One year of clinical experience with administration of medications preferred
• One year of supervisory experience preferred
• Maryland nursing license required

Responsibilities

• Supervising the medical care of all patients from registration to departure
• Supervising clinical personnel on patient contact, care, and performance
• Scheduling Staff Nurses and Medical Assistants
• Reviewing and supervising inventory of medicines, prescriptions, and supplies
• Representing Patient First for the Director of Medical Support and Medical Director in their absence
• Functioning as administrator and working as a Staff Nurse as needed
• Reviewing all checklists of Staff Nurses and Medical Assistants
• Preparing written and verbal evaluations for Staff Nurses and Medical Assistants
• Providing positive, warm and friendly customer service in all interactions
• Fostering teamwork and a positive, professional atmosphere
• Completing other duties as directed
