Job summary

Desert Willow in Las Vegas is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to oversee day-to-day nursing activities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards, and maintaining high-quality resident care.

The role involves developing policies, coordinating with the DON/ADON, and leading nursing staff through planning, reporting, and quality assurance activities within a long-term care facility.

Qualifications

• Must supervise day-to-day nursing activities in accordance with governing rules and guidelines.
• Develop, maintain, and update written policies and procedures for the nursing service department.
• Ensure nursing staff comply with Nursing Service Manual and procedures.
• Maintain current reference materials and prepare reports for the Director as needed.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuous care.

Responsibilities

• Attend committee meetings such as Infection Control, Policy Advisory, and Quality Assessment.
• Prepare and present reports on nursing programs and activities to committees.
• Provide information to QA&A and Care Plan committees as requested.
• Develop care plans and discharge plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate RN/LPN presence for all shifts.
• Monitor patient safety, documentation, and adherence to nursing standards.
