Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing teams in a patient-centered rehabilitation setting. You will oversee care delivery, ensure protocol adherence, and mentor staff to provide compassionate, high-quality rehabilitation services.

The role emphasizes collaboration with administration and nursing leadership, accountability for patient outcomes, and a commitment to ongoing professional development and excellent patient experience.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required by state regulations.
• BLS certification with ACLS certification to be obtained within one year of starting position.
• CRRN certification to be obtained within a year of meeting eligibility requirements.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Two years of recent inpatient hospital experience (within last five years).
• Prior leadership role (e.g., charge nurse) with accountability for patient and staff results.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing personalized patient care programs, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as liaison between administration, nursing management, and staff.
• Supervise nursing care, treatment, and services during assigned shifts or unit.
• Monitor and manage staff including on-the-spot feedback, annual evaluations, and performance counseling.
• Attend to patient care needs and build meaningful relationships to support recovery.
• Celebrate patient successes and progress on the rehabilitation journey.
