Job summary

Baptist Health South Florida is seeking an experienced nursing leader to supervise patient care units, collaborate with management on staffing and evaluations, and serve as a patient/guest service ambassador. You will coordinate staffing for shifts, participate in hourly rounding, and ensure care aligns with hospital policies.

The role emphasizes staff education, effective communication with patients and families, and leadership within a faith-based mission to deliver excellent care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS or NRP as required by unit assignment within 6 months of promotion/hire.
• BSN preferred for leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead patient care units.
• Collaborate with manager on staff evaluations, patient flow, and staff/family education.
• Act as patient/guest service ambassador and assist with problem solving during tours of duty.
• Coordinate staffing and nursing assignments for current and upcoming shifts.
• Participate in hourly rounding and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
