Job summary

Pinnacle Treatment Centers is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor to lead our nursing team and ensure high-quality patient care across our Virginia facilities. You will oversee nursing operations, medication services, and compliance with DEA and state regulations, while guiding staff through coaching and performance management.

The role requires RN (or LPN where allowed), a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Driver's license in good standing; insurable by company.
• Ability to travel locally up to 20% as needed.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience with substance use disorders and/or mental health.
• Minimum three (3) years of nursing leadership or management experience.
• Experience with emergency triage and medical crisis response.
• CPR, First Aid, and BLS certification.
• Knowledge of infection control and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for nursing services, admissions, medication administration, and laboratory services.
• Supervise nursing staff through coaching and performance management.
• Develop and manage staffing schedules for coverage.
• Oversee medication inventory and DEA/state regulatory compliance.
• EnsureDiversion Control Plan compliance.
• Assist with medication administration policies and procedures.
• Administer and dispense medications under physician direction.
• Ensure treatment plans are properly executed by Medical Director.
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor treatment responses.
• Coordinate physician appointments, labs, referrals, and follow-up care.
• Train nursing staff on procedures, safety practices, and equipment usage.
• Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary planning.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and medical records.
• Manage medical supply inventory and regulatory compliance.
• Educate patients on medications and treatment plans.
• Coordinate referrals for specialized services.
• Attend team meetings and required trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
