LCMC Health invites you to join as an Administrative Nurse Supervisor at West Jefferson Medical Center. Lead a team delivering extraordinary care with empathy and a can-do spirit, while representing nursing administration and guiding clinical operations.

You will oversee daily department operations, staffing, and patient care coordination, ensuring adherence to policies and maintaining high standards of care across units in Louisiana.

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana nursing license to practice.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Experience as charge nurse, clinical supervisor or nurse manager.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth daily operations of your department/unit.
• Maintain standards of team accountability and delivery of care services.
• Round patient care units to ascertain patients' conditions.
• Coordinate and evaluate services rendered by and to all departments during the shift.
• Inform leadership of circumstances with potential serious impact.
• Assess and intervene for physiologic, psychosocial educational and developmental needs of patients and families.
• Serve as a main resource person on all nursing units for the hospital and provide administrative nursing leadership.
• Administer nurse staffing, schedules, utilization, and follow-up appropriate for patient census, acuity level, and special conditions.
• Evaluate and document employees' performance and communicate with department managers.
• Ensure professional development and participate in planning and in-service education programs.
• Maintain communication between other nursing and ancillary departments.
• Evaluate staffing needs and provide support to caregivers ensuring proper staffing matrix and unit needs.
