Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing; BSN required.
• Minimum of 1 year full-time or 3 years part-time experience in acute care nursing.
• 1–3 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient in cardiovascular physical assessment and fluent in cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
• Comfortable with 12-lead EKG interpretation and cardiac arrhythmias; stress testing knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assumes shift responsibility and accountability for planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care.
• Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members and directs nursing staff to achieve safe, optimal outcomes.
• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversees and guides employees supervised by the role holder.
• Upholds Patient Centered Care and Service Excellence standards.
