Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, at Broughton Hospital, seeks a Clinical Nurse Supervisor to lead the Adult Admission Services team. You will oversee 24‑hour nursing care, coach staff, and ensure high‑quality patient care in a compassionate environment.

Responsibilities include staffing, performance coaching, policy adherence, and collaboration with clinical teams to advance skills and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must hold NC RN license and two years of nursing experience.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, and evaluating licensed/unlicensed nursing staff.
• Experience implementing and evaluating evidence‑based practices in nursing.
• Experience working with patients with mental illness, substance use, and Intellectual Developmental Disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing staff, promoting clinical excellence.
• Monitor compliance with facility policies and standards; lead by example.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and performance guidance to staff.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop staff skills and competencies.
• Build strong communication with clinical teams, physicians, patients, and families; drive quality improvement.
