Job summary

UF Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to provide supervision and clinical leadership on the unit. You will assist in hiring, evaluations, orientation and performance improvement, and help manage department budgets while promoting excellent customer service and patient-centered care.

This role requires Florida RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and BSN within three years of hire, with a strong emphasis on communication and teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards and Nursing Standards.
• Demonstrate clinical nursing skills; good customer service.
• Basic computer literacy; strong oral and written communication; problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and clinical expertise to staff in assigned area.
• Assist Nurse Manager in hiring/firing, evaluations, orientation, and performance improvement activities.
• Assist in devising and managing departmental budgets and financial processes.
• Foster positive customer service and patient-centered care on the unit.
