Job summary

Avera is seeking an RN supervisor to oversee clinical operations at the clinic site, coordinating patient flow and collaborating with the Clinic Manager to guide staff and processes.

The role involves developing goals, managing staffing against patient volume, and ensuring adherence to operating policies while preserving a high standard of care for patients and a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, physicians and patients
• Experience in supervising nursing departments and coordinating patient flow

Responsibilities

• Accountable for clinical operations and patient flow coordination with the Clinic Manager
• Assist in developing current and future clinic goals and staffing plans
• Manage resources to achieve budgetary goals and staffing levels
• Schedule nursing staff and optimize coverage to ensure quality care and efficiency
• Develop and update department policies, procedures and competencies for patient care
• Communicate regularly with staff and report feedback to leadership in a timely manner
• Maintain high clinical standards and a positive environment across clinics, hospital departments and physician teams
• Provide direct patient care when needed
• Handle crises professionally and address issues promptly
• Oversee interviewing, hiring, training, retention and performance planning for staff
