Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, seeks Nurse Supervisors for two shifts at Saleeby Regional Center in Hartsville, SC. The role provides direct nursing care, leadership, and training for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Graduation from an accredited nursing program with SC RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
• Knowledge of nursing administration in a healthcare facility.
• Ability to plan, organize, supervise and evaluate nursing staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and mentors nursing staff on assigned shift to support nursing department goals.
• Maintains staffing levels; conducts interviews and approves time and leave.
• Provides active leadership to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
• Keeps current on nursing trends and participates in educational enrichment.
• Performs activities to build morale as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
