Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking an RN Nurse Supervisor to supervise clinic and infusion units at the Hillcrest campus. You will plan and oversee nursing interventions, collaborate with medical staff, and drive operational efficiency to deliver exceptional patient care.

The role emphasizes leadership, core nursing competencies, and the ability to manage a complex workflow in a high-demand cancer care setting; 4/10 work schedule, relocation assistance, and a strong commitment to hospital-wide

Qualifications

RN license issued by the state of California.
BSN required; Master’s preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
Ability to supervise clinicians and manage complex workflows.
Current ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy provider card or must obtain within six (6) months of hire.
Strong knowledge of HR policies and performance management.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to train and mentor staff.
Knowledge of nursing data systems and hospital management tools.
Experience in hospital/clinic management settings.

Responsibilities

Supervise clinicians and manage day-to-day clinic and infusion operations.
Plan, perform and evaluate direct and indirect nursing interventions.
Collaborate with physicians and nursing leadership to ensure high-quality patient care.
Improve administrative efficiencies and monitor unit operations.
Coordinate staffing and resource management for the Hillcrest campus.
