Job summary

Vernon Public Schools is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to oversee health services for students in the Central Office/District. The role provides direct healthcare, conducts health screenings, and coordinates referrals to medical, home, or private health care providers.

The incumbent will act as a liaison among school personnel, families, and healthcare partners to advocate for healthcare and a healthy school environment, aligning with district goals and contracts for the 2024-25 school year.

Qualifications

• Active RN license issued by the Connecticut Department of Health.
• 3-5 years working in public or community health nursing.
• 1-2 years related supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of and/or experience working within school setting preferred.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for the 2024-25 school year is per contract ($71,400 annual) with a competitive benefits package. Please see attached contract for details.
