Job Summary

The school nurse substitute is a registered professional nurse certified, working in the school setting who strengthens and facilitates the educational process by improving and protecting the health status of children. The major focus of school nursing services is the prevention of illness and disability and the early detection and correction of health problems. Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

75% - Nursing

Assists with sick children when they visit the nurses office throughout the school day.

Communicates with parents and staff as needed.

25% - Classroom Medical Support

Minimum Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

Expected Hourly Rate

Expected Hourly Rate is $24- $26 an hour
