Job summary

Siloam Springs School District is seeking a Nurse Substitute to support campus health offices and student care across district schools. You will hold a current Arkansas nursing license and function under the direction of the Building Principal and Nursing Director.

Responsibilities include health assessment, planning and referral, administration of medications, first aid, immunization record keeping, and compliance with the Arkansas Nurse Practice Act and district policies.

• Manages Health Services office, administers medications, provides first aid, and maintains immunization records.

Specific Job Duties/Requirements:

1. Assumes responsibility for appropriate assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation, management, and referral activities for students in the school district.

2. Provides for the promotion and maintenance of health as well as the prevention of

illness and injuries.

1. Responsible for direct and indirect care given to students in compliance with school district policies, professional standards of practice, physician orders, and the Individual Health Care Plan.

4. Functions in accordance with the Arkansas Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for

Registered Nurses, and the school district’s policies and procedures.

5. Will be responsible for Health Services office, administering all medications, first aid,

student care, maintaining immunization records, forms and reports.
