Job summary

Siloam Springs School District is seeking a Nurse Substitute to cover health services at school sites as needed. The role requires an active Arkansas nursing license and adherence to school district policies and ethical standards, including the Arkansas Nurse Practice Act.

You will handle student health assessments, medications, first aid and care under the supervision of the Nursing Director and Building Principal, ensuring safe, compliant health services across campuses.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Specific Job Duties/Requirements:

• Assumes responsibility for appropriate assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation, management, and referral activities for students in the school district.
• Provides for the promotion and maintenance of health as well as the prevention of illnessand injuries.
• Responsible for direct and indirect care given to students in compliance with school district policies, professional standards of practice, physician orders, and the Individual Health Care Plan.
• Functions in accordance with the Arkansas Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses, and the school district’s policies and procedures.
• Will be responsible for Health Services office, administering all medications, first aid, student care, maintaining immunization records, forms and reports.
