Job summary

Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (7:00 pm–7:30 am) to support surgical patients. You will assess, plan, implement, and document care per the medical plan of care, critical pathways, and SRH policies, coordinating with the care team.

As the charge/lead nurse, you will delegate tasks to other professionals and provide patient and family teaching to support treatment adherence and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to surgical patients using the Nursing Process.
• Act as charge/lead nurse and coordinate care with other professionals and ancillary staff.
• Document care per medical plan of care, policies, and standard work.

Utilizing the Nursing Process (Assessment, Planning, Nursing Diagnosis, Implementation and Evaluation) provides and documents professional nursing care to surgical patients in accordance with the medical plan of care, critical pathways, established SRH and Nursing Policies and Standard Work. Incorporates the principles of statistical
analysis, scientific theory, developmental and decision making skills for better patient outcomes. Utilizes effective communication to teach patients and families how to comply with treatment plans to maintain good health. Functions in the role of charge/lead nurse and coordinates and delegates the care with/to other professionals and ancillary personnel. Serves as a resource person for other SRH/nursing personnel to resolve work-related issues.
