Job summary

Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC is seeking a Nurse Staff for 3 Tower Surgery. This full-time day shift requires 7:00 AM–7:30 PM hours and will include every other weekend.

The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and educate patients and families on prescribed treatment plans while adhering to SRH policies and standard work. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to surgical patients per the medical plan of care and SRH policies.
• Act as charge/lead nurse and coordinate care with other staff.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans to maintain health.

Utilizing the Nursing Process (Assessment, Planning, Nursing Diagnosis, Implementation and Evaluation) provides and documents professional nursing care to surgical patients in accordance with the medical plan of care, critical pathways, established SRH and Nursing Policies and Standard Work. Incorporates the principles of statistical
analysis, scientific theory, developmental and decision-making skills for better patient outcomes. Utilizes effective communication to teach patients and families how to comply with treatment plans to maintain good health. Functions in the role of charge/lead nurse and coordinates and delegates the care with/to other professionals and ancillary personnel. Serves as a resource person for other SRH/nursing personnel to resolve work-related issues.
