Job summary

Journey in Savannah, GA is seeking a detail-oriented Nurse Scheduler to coordinate nursing schedules, ensure adequate staffing, and support the overall operational efficiency of our healthcare facility.

The ideal candidate will have CNA or related certification and a high school diploma, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with care teams, HR, and payroll to maintain accurate time records.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Qualified Medication Assistant preferred, but not required; may be needed during staffing shortages.
• High school education or high school equivalent diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and posts work schedules in a timely manner or accordance with company policy to ensure appropriate staffing needs and requirements are met.
• Builds relationships and trust to be able to make necessary contacts with care team members for open shifts and modifies schedule when required.
• Maintains a current listing of care team member contact numbers for call-in
• Coordinates and obtains approval for any time off requests with the Director of Nursing
• Notifies the Executive Director and Director of Nursing of any potential short or critical staffing levels.
• Manages attendance records, perfect attendance or other attendance related special pay programs the company may provide; and reports any necessary information to HR/Payroll to ensure time records are accurately captured.
