Job summary

Blue Cloud operates ambulatory surgery centers and is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the perioperative care team at Crowne Point Surgery Center in Flint, Michigan. The role supports pediatric dental procedures and adult GI/endoscopy procedures, with a focus on safety, quality, comfort, and exceptional patient experience.

You will provide preoperative nursing care, monitor patients in PACU, and collaborate with surgeons, dentists, gastroenterologists, and anesthesia providers to ensure

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• BLS required at hire; ACLS and PALS within 60 days preferred.
• GI/endoscopy and pediatric experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate preoperative nursing care for pediatric and adult patients in the ambulatory setting.
• Assess and document patient status on arrival, during PACU, and post-anesthesia recovery.
• Deliver individualized nursing care based on age, procedure, and anesthesia plan.
• Monitor patients intraoperatively and in PACU; communicate changes to the care team.

YOU WILL

• Provide safe, compassionate preoperative nursing care for pediatric and adult patients in the ambulatory surgery center setting
• Assess, monitor, and document each patient’s status upon arrival to the recovery area and throughout the post-anesthesia recovery process
• Deliver individualized nursing care based on patient age, procedure type, surgical or gastrointestinal condition, and anesthesia plan
• Monitor pediatric and adult patients during the intraoperative and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) periods, promptly communicating observed changes or complications to the appropriate dentist, physician, gastroenterologist, surgeon, or anesthesia provider

YOU HAVE

Requirements + Qualifications

• Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 60 days of hire)
• GI/endoscopy experience strongly valued
• Pediatric experience strongly valued

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Previous ICU, perioperative, PACU, endoscopy, or ambulatory surgery center experience
