Job summary

Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers in Ohio seeks a Registered Nurse to join our pediatric ASC teams. You will provide postoperative and recovery room nursing care, monitor patients, and collaborate with dentists and anesthesiologists in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Requirements include an active RN license, nursing degree, BLS, and ACLS/PALS within 60 days. Preferred candidates may have a BSN and perioperative/ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) on hire.
• ACLS and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 60 days of hire.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Preferred: ICU or perioperative nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care for the patient in the immediate postoperative/post anesthesia period.
• Assess and document patient status upon arrival in the recovery room.
• Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and anesthesia.
• Monitor patient and inform dentist or anesthetist of observed complications.

YOU WILL

• Knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 60 days of hire)

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Previous experience in ICU or perioperative nursing experience
