Job summary

Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers is actively seeking a Registered Nurse for our Flint, MI ambulatory surgery centers. Join a perioperative team delivering safe pediatric and adult care in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform preoperative and PACU nursing duties, monitor patient status, and communicate findings to the care team. This role emphasizes child- and family-centered care with a daytime, in-person schedule.

Qualifications

• Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of nursing process and delivery of care.
• BLS certification at hire, ACLS/PALS within 60 days are preferred.
• GI/endoscopy or pediatric ambulatory experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate preoperative nursing care for pediatric and adult patients in the ambulatory surgery center setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document each patient’s status from arrival to PACU and during recovery.
• Deliver individualized nursing care based on age, procedure, and anesthesia plan.
• Monitor patients during intraoperative and PACU periods and promptly communicate changes to the care team.

Crowne Point Surgery Center in Flint, Michigan is one of Blue Cloud’s multispecialty centers. YOU WILL

• Provide safe, compassionate preoperative nursing care for pediatric and adult patients in the ambulatory surgery center setting
• Assess, monitor, and document each patient’s status upon arrival to the recovery area and throughout the post-anesthesia recovery process
• Deliver individualized nursing care based on patient age, procedure type, surgical or gastrointestinal condition, and anesthesia plan
• Monitor pediatric and adult patients during the intraoperative and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) periods, promptly communicating observed changes or complications to the appropriate dentist, physician, gastroenterologist, surgeon, or anesthesia provider

YOU HAVE

Requirements + Qualifications

• Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 60 days of hire)
• GI/endoscopy experience strongly valued
• Pediatric experience strongly valued

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Previous ICU, perioperative, PACU, endoscopy, or ambulatory surgery center experience
