Job summary

Blue Cloud is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our pediatric ambulatory surgery centers in Jacksonville, FL. This role focuses on immediate postoperative and post-anesthesia nursing care within a fast-paced team of dentists, anesthesiologists, and nurses.

You will assess patients on arrival to the recovery room, provide care tailored to surgical/anesthesia needs, and promptly report complications to the dental team. We value safety, quality, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 60 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Previous ICU or perioperative nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care for the patient in the immediate postoperative/post anesthesia period.
• Assess and document patient’s status upon arrival in the recovery room.
• Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered.
• Monitoring patient and informing dentist or anesthetist of observed complications.

• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 60 days of hire)

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Previous experience in ICU or perioperative nursing experience
