Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a Nurse (RN or LPN) to provide quality nursing care to residents. The role emphasizes a person-centered approach, following physician orders, Primrose policies, and regulatory standards to support residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

Ideal candidates will hold an active nursing license in the state, CPR/First Aid certification, and experience in long-term care or assisted living.

Qualifications

• Current, active nursing license (LPN, RN, LVN) in the state the community is located in.
• Maintain CPR and First Aid Certification per state regulations.
• Meet annual continuing education hours required for nursing license if applicable.
• Experience in long-term care or assisted living environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of current state laws and regulations that apply to the practice of nursing as an RN/LPN/LVN in an assisted living setting.
• Has strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
• Basic knowledge of computer software.
• Able to work holiday and weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to residents per physician orders and Primrose policies.
• Ensure residents’ needs are met in accordance with standards of practice through physician orders and regulations.
• Through a collaborative and “person-centered” approach, enable residents to attain or maintain the highest practical well-being.
• Collaborate with other staff to support residents and families.
• Maintain documentation and comply with regulatory requirements.

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring for a Nurse to be responsible forproviding quality nursing care within Primrose Retirement Communities, ensuring that residents’ needs are met in accordance with standards of practice through physician orders, Primrose policies and procedures, federal, state, and local regulations, and established nursing best practices. Through a collaborative and “person-centered” approach, the Staff Nurse enables each resident to attain or maintain the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
