Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities in Kokomo, IN is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide quality nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders and Primrose policies.

The Staff Nurse will collaborate with the care team to support residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being, while maintaining standards and regulatory requirements. Weekend and holiday rotations are expected; active Indiana license and continuing education are required.

Qualifications

• Current, active nursing license in the state the community is located in.
• Maintain CPR and First Aid Certification per state regulations.
• Meet annual continuing education hours required for nursing license if applicable.
• Experience in long-term care or assisted living environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of current state laws and regulations that apply to nursing practice.
• Has strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Disease, other dementias and related memory impairments is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team.
• Basic knowledge of computer software.
• Able to work weekend and holiday rotation.

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse to be responsible forproviding quality nursing care within Primrose Retirement Communities, ensuring that residents’ needs are met in accordance with standards of practice through physician orders, Primrose policies and procedures, federal, state, and local regulations, and established nursing best practices. Through a collaborative and “person-centered” approach, the Staff Nurse enables each resident to attain or maintain the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
