LifeBridge Health's Northwest Hospital in Baltimore County is seeking an RN for the Nurse Resident Program on the Stroke Medical Unit. The program offers structured orientation, clinical coaching, and support to develop confidence and nursing skills.

As an RN on the Stroke Medical Unit, you will deliver age-appropriate care, collaborate with families, and participate in classes, case discussions, and hands‑on practice to advance professionally.

Qualifications

  • Maryland Registered Nurse License required.
  • American Heart Association CPR Certification required.
  • RN Diploma or Bachelor's degree acceptable for entry.
  • New graduates are welcome to apply.

JOB SUMMARY: As a member of the patient care team, the RN provides safe, age-appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.

Nurse Resident Program

The hallmark of this innovative program is support. New nurses are provided individual and group support as they participate in classes, present cases, learn clinical skills and gain confidence in their abilities as valuable professionals.

  • Support is provided in the form of several newly created positions that add to a strong and dedicated orientation team of educators and leaders.
  • Clinical coaches work with new grads and their preceptors on a daily basis to navigate the clinical landscape.
  • A life coach makes assessments and provides support for work‑life balance, stress and other challenges that come with an exciting new role.
  • The program is offered several times a year and coincides with graduations and completion of the NCLEX.
  • The length of the program varies based on specialty area; class requirements; and participants' knowledge, skills and comfort level as they progress through orientation.
  • Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree, working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field. RN Diploma with relevant experience also accepted.
  • Less than 1 year of experience.
  • Maryland Registered Nurse License, American Heart Association CPR Certification. Registered Nurse License

Pay Range: $37.15 to $57.58 Based On Experience
