Exeter Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, offers a Magnet-designated Nurse Residency Program designed for recent nursing graduates. You’ll join a collaborative team committed to delivering exceptional patient care as you transition from student to professional nurse.

This year-long program provides clinical foundation and mentorship to build confidence and competence in a culture of quality and safety, with support from preceptors and educators on a 34-bed Medical/Surgical Unit.

Qualifications

• 0 to 6 months of nursing experience.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire or another Compact State.
• BCLS certification within 30 days for select nursing positions.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience caring for a diverse patient population.
• Work closely with experienced preceptors and nurse educators.
• Receive emotional and clinical support during your transition to practice.
• Build confidence and clinical competence in a culture focused on quality and safety.
• Strengthen teamwork, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Learn to integrate current evidence and best practices into patient care.
• Become part of a supportive network of fellow nurse residents and experienced nurses.
