Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Nurse Resident for the Acute Care unit. This role targets RNs with less than one year of experience and provides structured mentorship through a Nurse Residency Program.

You will participate in the residency program, perform bedside nursing duties, and collaborate with the nursing leadership team to ensure high-quality patient care within a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree or diploma required.
• RN license in Florida.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administers bedside patient care in a hospital setting under supervision of preceptor, leader, or charge nurse.
• Assesses patients’ needs and develops individualized plans of care.
• Communicates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team to plan and manage care.
• Functions as a preceptor or nurse educator as assigned.
• Documents patient care accurately and meets regulatory standards.
