Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Nurse Resident for the Acute Care unit. This on-site role involves nights, 3 twelve-hour shifts, and alternating weekends.

You will receive precepted bedside care, patient assessment, and participation in the Nurse Residency Program designed to transition under-one-year nurses to independent practice. The program offers structured training, monthly classes, and simulation, with opportunities to grow within a comprehensive

Qualifications

• Nursing school graduate.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and the unit/department.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or valid Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) multistate RN license.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas. NRP is required for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Responsibilities

• Administers bedside patient care under supervision.
• Assesses patient needs and revises plans of care.
• Collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team.
• Documents patient care meeting regulatory standards.
• Acts as preceptor, educator, or unit leader when assigned.
• Participates in Nurse Residency Program activities as appropriate.
