Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL, is seeking a Nurse Resident for Acute Care. This on-site role supports a full-time, 3 12s schedule with weekends alternating. You will be mentored by experienced nurses while delivering patient-centered care in a high-acuity setting.

The program is a 12-month ANCC-accredited Nurse Residency designed for RNs with under one year of experience, offering education, preceptorship, and structured transitions to independent practice.

Qualifications

• Nursing school graduate.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and the unit/department.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or valid Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) multistate RN license.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas; NRP is required for NICU.

Responsibilities

• Administers bedside patient care in a hospital or inpatient/observation setting under supervision.
• Assesses patients’ needs and develops individualized plans of care.
• Communicates and collaborates with medical staff and the interdisciplinary team.
• Documents patient care meeting required standards.
• Demonstrates nursing skills and uses unit equipment.
• Participates in Nurse Residency Program activities.
