Job summary

Fairview Health Services seeks Nurse Practitioners to moonlight in its urgent care centers across the metro area, including St. Paul. You will provide non-emergent care for minor illnesses and injuries in a fast-paced setting, with hours varying by site.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program, BC/BE through AANP or ANCC, hold Minnesota APRN licensure, and have at least two years of urgent care experience. Pediatric and adult care experience is required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years urgent care or clinic experience.
• Graduate of accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
• Licensed or able to obtain APRN license in Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-emergent care for minor illness and injury in urgent care.
• Collaborate with on-call physician for admissions and complex cases.
• Treat both pediatric and adult patients in a fast-paced setting.

Job Overview

Fairview Urgent Care provides convenient medical care weekdays, evenings and weekends. Nurse Practitioners working in urgent care provide a broad spectrum of non-emergent care for minor illness and injury. All hospital admissions are referred to the physician on-call for these practices. Moonlighters are needed for a variety of shifts at Fairview urgent care centers in the metro area. Hours vary by site. Volume fluctuates seasonally.

Requirements

• Graduate of a school of nursing and accredited Family NursePractitioner training program.
• BC/BE through the AANP or ANCC.
• Licensed or ability to obtain APRN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
• Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
• Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges (if required).
• Must be comfortable seeing pediatric and adult patients
• Must have at least 2 years urgent care or clinic experience. Internal candidates are also preferred.
