Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing and graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current APRN certification or PANCE credential.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) provider card.
• Massachusetts Board authorization to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse or MA Physician Assistant license.
• Prescriptive authority from MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA.
• Ability to summarize and communicate moderately complex information in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to MIT Health patients in urgent care.
• Assess health status through interview and physical examination, and develop plan of care.
• Educate, counsel, and perform clinical outreach in collaboration with MIT Health and other services at MIT.
• Adhere to MIT Health Policies and state/federal regulations.
