UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Urgent Care team on a per diem basis. The role covers multiple Central Massachusetts locations, providing same-day treatment for non-emergency illnesses and injuries while collaborating with a broad clinical network.

The position requires a Master’s degree, MA licensure with national certification, and DEA registration. Epic EMR is used for patient records and onsite imaging/lab support is available.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Massachusetts license with national certification (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA).
• Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration and federal DEA registration.
• Epic EMR used for patient records and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide walk-in urgent care with same-day treatment for non-emergency illnesses and injuries.
• Support five Urgent Care locations in Central Massachusetts.
• Collaborate with APPs and healthcare teams for efficient patient care.
• Utilize Epic EMR to document encounters and coordinate care.

Education

Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program

Massachusetts license with national certification (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA)
