Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, CA, part of Desert Care Network and Tenet Healthcare family, seeks a NICU- experienced RN/NP for per diem shifts in the NICU. The role emphasizes leadership, efficient resource use and adherence to standardized procedures under medical and nursing directors.

The position requires CA RN license, NRP, BLS and at least five years of clinical experience; Master’s is preferred.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner Certification
• NRP certification
• AHA BLS Certification (current at all times)
• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience
• Demonstrated leadership and professional presentation

The NICU Neonatal Nurse Practitioner manages patients in the NICU under the direction and indirection supervision of the Medical Director and/or his designees and the Nursing Director according to the established nursing standardized procedures. This role is a leadership position in the department and the individual is responsible for effective time management, resource utilization, and demonstration of positive role modeling.

Qualifications

Required:

• Will consider experience as a Physician Assistant
• Current California RN license
• Nurse Practitioner Certification
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (maintain current at all times)
• Certification as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience
• Demonstrated clinical competence and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to present self in positive and professional manner

Preferred:

• Master’s degree.
