Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider leader for the Hematology/Oncology team. The role includes supervising frontline NP staff, managing scheduling and performance, and continuing patient care for pediatric Hematology-Oncology patients.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree with 2–5 years of pediatric NP experience and current NP/RN licenses. This is a full-time on-site leadership position offering comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
• Manages the health care of select patient populations through advanced health assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation in a collaborative practice agreement with a physician.
• Coordinates with manager and other multidisciplinary leaders to promote professional practice models and ensure quality patient care.
• Responsible for the productivity and actions of the staff, supporting the overall operational goals established by the department manager/director.
• Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
• Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
