Telecare Corporation in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a part-time PMHNP to provide direct psychiatric care and medication management on weekends (Sat–Sun, 9am–9pm) onsite, with on-call emergencies optional. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create recovery‑focused treatment plans.

Requirements include PMHNP certification, APN licensure, DEA and furnishing registrations, and a year of relevant psychiatric experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Advanced nursing degree required per state licensing.
• PMHNP program completion required.
• ANCC PMHNP board certification required.
• APN licensure in the practicing state required.
• Active DEA and furnishing licenses required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a mental health program.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do to Change Lives

As a senior member of the clinical team, the Psych Nurse Practitioner provides direct psychiatric care and medication treatment to members served, in addition to the recovery focused treatment plan developed and delivered in concert with the multidisciplinary team.

Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP - Part-time, 24 hours per week (12-hour shifts)

Saturday and Sunday, 9am-9pm onsite position

Optional on call (for emergencies only by phone compensated up to $250/night)

Compensation

Expected Employee starting wage range - $106,473 - $131,490 / Annually

Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Independent Contractors are not eligible for company benefits and must provide their own malpractice insurance.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

• * Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Science and an advanced degree in a healthcare science as required by the State Licensing program
• * Minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience, or its part‑time equivalent, working in a program serving persons with mental disabilities
• * Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• * American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• * Licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner in the State of practice
• * Active DEA and Furnishing licenses
