The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care to residents at the Minnesota Veterans Homes. The NP will perform regulatory visits for up to 72 Veterans and spouses at Montevideo, with on-site assessments at MVH Minneapolis as needed.

Work is four days per week, weekdays to be coordinated with physicians. After-hours/weekend on-call (telephone) rotates among providers (13 weeks/year) with overtime as per contract.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with no restrictions in Minnesota.
• Certification in Adult or Geriatric Medicine (ANCC or AANPCB).
• DEA registration for Controlled Substances.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
• Two years of clinical experience with adults.

Responsabilités

• Provide and promote quality primary care for residents in Minnesota Veterans Homes.
• Lead and assist in navigating acute and complex medical issues as part of the IDT.
• Participate in on-call rotation as designated.
• Travel between MVH facilities as needed.
