Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be able to prioritize and perform mathematical calculations for drug therapy.
• Must be aware of diversity among patient ethnicity and the impact of cultural background.
• Current Virginia medical license and DEA license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care within the collaborative agreement documents scope of practice defined by HCHC privileging protocol for the medical specialty.
• Care will be delivered in full accordance with HCHC policies and protocols, including wellness, chronic disease, same-day, and emergency services.
• Order, perform, and interpret routine laboratory and diagnostic imaging tests and notify patients of results per HCHC protocol.
• Provide access to primary care through Telehealth and phone.
• Support wellness and restoration through self-care, continuity of care and care coordination.
• Refer patients for specialized care based on identified need; incorporate consultant recommendations into treatment plans.
• Complete documentation in the EMR per HCHC protocols.
