Job summary

Equity Health seeks a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to provide age-appropriate history and physicals, and coordinate care for complex acute and chronically ill patients, including those with life-limiting illnesses.

You will work with a team of physicians, nurses, and therapists, order and interpret tests, and help patients and families make informed decisions while supporting transitions across care settings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing required.
• Current, active and unrestricted RN license (NC/SC) and Nurse Practitioner designation.
• Board certification in specialty within 2 years of hire.
• Current and unrestricted DEA and Basic Life Support required.
• Computer proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs age-appropriate history and physicals for complex patients.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests as needed.
• Prescribes and recommends therapies and medications within ethical guidelines.
• Supports physiologic stability and transitions across care settings.
• Educates patients, staff and families to aid decision making.
