Brown University Health in Providence, RI seeks a Master’s prepared Family Nurse Practitioner to deliver general and preventative care across ages, performing exams, diagnosing conditions, and prescribing medications. This role requires leadership to mentor clinical staff and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Reporting to the Medical Director, will provide compassionate and excellent patient care by performing courteous, efficient, and accurate service. Assists with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations. Mentors clinical personnel, and serves as a liaison with patients, staff, providers, and leadership. Can perform independently or as part of a treatment team. Provide general and preventative care, conduct check-ups, treat illnesses, order lab tests, and prescribe medications for children and adults. Educate patients about preventative care and the prescribed treatments. Manage patients who do not require complex medical management or specialized treatment. Demonstrates the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of patients. Communicates appropriately with the person served regardless of their age. Complete charting and required paperwork in a timely manner. Active participation in the development/review of office polices and procedures. Promotes a safety-conscious work force. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island by the Rhode Island Board of Nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
Graduation with a master’s degree from an accredited advanced nurse practitioner program. Certified Family Nurse Practitioner Current licensure as an ARNP in the State of Rhode Island. Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Knowledge of basic emergency department, internal medicine, generalist, occupational medicine, and family practice procedures required.
Two years of related experience required. Prior experience as a medic or within an urgent care or emergency department setting preferred.
Healthcare environment such as acute care hospital, physicians’ office and ancillary healthcare enterprises. Any hazards are minimized by adherence to established safety procedures and precautions.
Pay Range: $127,504.00-$161,782.40
