Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System seeks a Nurse Practitioner for the Granville primary care office. This full-time APP role covers a broad lifespan with emphasis on prevention, wellness and access to care. The position includes collaboration with physicians and a strong care-team culture.

The NP provides patient evaluations, orders labs, administers vaccines, and supports education for patients and families. Outpatient experience is preferred, with comprehensive benefits and CME support offered.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in nursing required and NP program graduate.
  • State APRN/NP licensure as required by law in Ohio.
  • 2+ years of outpatient Family NP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain patient history and perform assessments; order and interpret diagnostic studies; provide preventive care and immunizations.
  • Deliver direct treatment and management of health conditions; utilize prescriptive authority and referrals as needed.
  • Counsel patients and families on prevention, options, and resources; support age- and culture-appropriate decision-making.

Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care, Granville Office
Position Purpose:

This full‑time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position supports the delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centered care in our Granville primary care office. The APP provides comprehensive health services across the lifespan, with a strong emphasis on health promotion, disease prevention, and improving community access to care. APPs at Mount Carmel are highly valued members of the care team and are offered excellent compensation, benefits, and an annual CME stipend. Experience in the outpatient primary care setting is preferred.

What you will do:
  • Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.
  • Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions, including use of prescriptive authority and referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
  • Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health and wellness, treatment options, and community resources.
  • Provides care in the context of promoting age and culture-appropriate informed choices, shared decision‑making and the right to self‑determination.
  • Practices within the guidelines of a Standard Care Arrangement with a collaborating physician(s).
  • Responsible for compliance with Organizational Integrity through raising questions and promptly reporting actual or potential wrongdoing.

This NP will work 4, 10-hour shifts; Tuesday - Friday.

What we are looking for:
  • Minimum Education Requirement: Master's Degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with specialization in area of practice.
  • Licensure Requirement: State licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or other designation as required by law.
  • Experience: Prefer 2+ years of recent and relevant Family Nurse Practitioner experience.
